Short London Breaks - Promotes a Healthy Walk Along the Thames

Short London Breaks incessantly welcomes the chance to push the rosy outdoors life - and

mayhap a city trip in the capital doesnt immediately lend itself to ideas of striding out

and taking in some clean air, but with the  and investment that has taken place over the last few years into the Thames

walk way, thats just what you can do on a glorious crisp day like today.

If you’re only in the city for the weekend then the succeeding walk ticks lots of divers boxes - sight-seeing opportunities,

culinary delicacies, culture, and best of all, easy on the budget!

If youre approaching the walk by London Undergorund or National Rail then Id consider taking off at either London Bridge or Borough stations.

Arriving out of either of those pass North tll you discover the The Thames.

Why not start your explorations by embarking out onto London Bridge itself? Although it doesnt have the beauty of many of the  bridges

it does yield a key place to take images of Tower Bridge as well as The Tower of London on the North Bank of the Thames.

Then heading west along the river again you shouldnt neglect a peruse around Borough Market - a tangible

treat for all the foodies out there who need divine guidance or just something exotic to nosh on.

The market specialises in goods from lesser societies and manufacturers from round the UK - but it also is

a smashing place to find out olives from Greeece, fromage from France, Ostrich from South Africa, chillies from Brazil - the listing is eternal.

Its a super place to nab a sandwich for later on in your walk besides.

Continuing along back to the river you’ll run into some of the best perspectives of the river from here - with the City of London

offering its foremost entrancing side, including the Lloyds Building, the Gherkin,St Pauls, the Barbican etc etc.

There are a range of inexpensive eateries along the river walk at this level - pizza, Greek, up market burger shops too - so

if youre in the market place for a mid-price  as a treat this is a cracking situation to choose, and you can love the river prospects at the same time.

Many of the restaurant along here are part of the larger groups and so its worth downloading out their websites

for discount coupons and budget offers - try Pizza Express, The Real Greek, the Gourmet Burger Kitchen for instance.

Keeping along the Thames Path then you’ll soon meet the rebuilt Globe Theatre on your left and its worth popping in and checking out

the special deals. They do tremendous standing tickets for the evening performances and given the architecture and

ambiance of the place at around £5 it makes for a wonderful night’s entertainment even if plays arent your regular thing.

Continuiung our amble along the SOuth Bank, reaching the Millenium Bridge you’re faced with a pair of options.

Simply walking out onto the bridge, once again, gives some easy photographic chances, but it also allows you to divert through to St Pauls Cathedral and catch

Christopher Wren’s magnificence.

Back on the Southside there’s more free culture available in the form of the Tate Modern - which always has

a central exhibit in the main hall which generally delights even the most disinterested art viewer.

Just the walk above should fill at least three hours of your time, but if youre still keen to hit the pavement more then keep along the river to the South Bank

complex - go into the Royal Festival Hall, up to the 6th floor balcony and revel in some of the best scenes of London. Dont forget to take your camera with you

and this is an afternoon when the budget wont be hit seriously at all!.
