Cricket in Barbados
Did you know that the history of the Cricket sport dates back to 17th century and that it was found out that the shepherds of England were traced to have played its early forms? So how is the Cricket sport really played? Most of the times, Cricket is misunderstood to be baseball. The Cricket’s language is more complicated as it is more confusing to watch the actual play of the game. Just like in baseball, it is also played in the field with the batsman tuck and ready with the wicketkeeper and the umpire behind him. The difference lays in the pitch where it is really not a pitch but instead a bowl. Getting more confused? It simply means that the pitcher doesn’t throw the bowl to a batter but bowls overhand to a batsman/striker. There are 11 players that are fielded all at the same time.
