Held on the third Thursday in July since its inception in 1947, the Camden Annual House and Garden Tour has become so popular many visitors plan their Maine vacation around it.  Why not join the festivities and plan a visit to the Mid-Coast area of Maine this summer?

This year, the 63rd Annual Camden House and Garden Tour will be held on July 15, 2010 from 9:30AM to 4:00PM, rain or shine.  Enjoy a day visiting beautiful homes and/or gardens on one of Maine’s oldest and most famous summer tours. There are many Camden area homes that have wonderful hidden treasures, fantastic gardens, and for one day only the public is permitted to tour these private gardens.

For the first time this year, a ticket for the Garden Tour will also include admission to the first Annual Decorator Show House in the Mid-Coast area. Local decorators, and decorators from as far away as New Orleans, will spin their magic and transform a Historic House and Guest Cottage on High Street in Camden.

Additionally, The Club will also host a Preview Party, Twilight Tours, and other festivities. The Camden Garden Club will use proceeds from the Show House and the Annual House and Garden Tour to fund scholarships, local civic projects such as the new Laite Beach Children’s Amphitheater, continue to plant and maintain the traffic islands, window boxes, light post baskets and Holiday wreaths throughout the downtown area and provide educational programming for the community.
