I have been looking around for vacation packages in Williamsburg and I read about  special spring getaway package that they have. It seemed like soemthing really nice since you got to stay at the Colonial City for three days and two  nights while enjoying various activites. The only thing that I didn’t find nice about it was the price. I really can’t afford to spend four hundred dollars per head just to enjoy something like this.

I was pretty sure that there were better options out there and I started doing some research. As it turns out there are other packages that are much cheaper than the one being offered. You can actually get something strating at just about a hundred and fifty dollars for the same number of days.

For those who don’t see the point in going for vacation pacakges usch as these you can also try to come up with your own itinerary and plan your own vacation. with the many different inns and bed and breakfasts in Williamsburg you are sure to be able to find some nice but cheap accomodations.

As for the sctivites you can just do some research about what time different palces open and plan your own day. You will get to choose which partiocular thigns you want to do. Also you can fit in your activites with your budget. Surprisingly there are quite a lot of places that you can visit for a very small fee or even for free.

Lastly don’t forget that you will be able to plan your meals as well. You can always look for nice local places that serve good food that is affordable. If your accomodations allow it, you can also cook your own food. Of course there are also the many  good old fastfoods.
